About Revival Performance Physical Therapy
Most clinics manage your symptoms and call it a plan. We built this place to end them: one-on-one, with a Doctor of Physical Therapy, every single visit.
Our Story
Dr. Aaron McAnelly, PT, DPT, OCS, CSOMT, FAAOMPT
Aaron grew up in Lawton, Oklahoma, outdoors most of the time and playing just about every sport there was: football, soccer, basketball, track, baseball. He went to Oklahoma Baptist University to play soccer and to start the long road toward becoming an orthopedic surgeon.
Junior year he tore a ligament in his ankle and started rehab with a local physical therapist. What got him was the process: work hard, measure it, get better on purpose. He dropped the surgery track and went after a Doctor of Physical Therapy instead.
He earned his DPT at the University of the Incarnate Word, then kept going: board certification in orthopedics, certification as a Sports and Orthopedic Manual Therapist, and Fellowship in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. He lives here with his wife and two daughters, and continues to be obsessed with learning and developing his skills as a physical therapist in order to better serve his patients.

Was on his way to becoming an orthopedic surgeon until his own ankle rehab changed his mind.
Meet Aaron
Clinical Director. Navy officer and six years a personal trainer before PT school, so he programs strength like a coach.
Meet Joe
Olympic weightlifter and CrossFit coach. Ask her about lifting through an injury without making it worse.
Meet Lauren
Born in Tasmania, learned Spanish on a two-year mission in Guadalajara, and has rehabbed enough of his own sports injuries to know the impatience.
Meet Braeden
Tore his ACL playing high school football. Now does the running biomechanics, tendinopathy and return-to-run work.
Meet Evan
UIW graduate who builds confidence back through loading. Paraglided the Swiss Alps, so he is hard to intimidate.
Meet Alex
Dancer since she was four, which is why she notices how you move before you say a word.
Meet Denisse
Runs the front of the house. Played collegiate soccer, then spent years as a trainer. She is usually the first voice you hear.
Meet Haley
Aerial performer and kinesiology student, headed for PT school herself.
Meet Selah
Handles the scheduling and the insurance questions so you can think about one thing instead of three.

Rooted in San Antonio
We’ve been treating San Antonio for 5+ years: your neighbors, your teammates, your kids’ coaches. The mom who’s been pushing through it so nobody else has to worry? She’s probably on our schedule too. Recovery is a lot more personal when it’s local.
