Physical Therapist

Denisse Fernandez

PT. A dancer since she was four, which is why she reads movement the way she does.

Denisse Fernandez, physical therapist at Revival Performance Physical Therapy in San Antonio

What it is like to be treated by Denisse

Denisse is the one who is smiling when you walk in, and it is not a front. She wants the room to feel safe before anything else happens in it.

Then she gets specific. Her care is evidence-based and it is built around you, not around a template with your name typed at the top.

She has been dancing since she was four, so she watches movement closely. Small compensations, the way you shift weight, the thing you do without knowing you do it.

A patient wrote:

“Denisse Fernández is an outstanding physical therapist. She is professional, knowledgeable, and truly cares about her patients.”

How she got here

Denisse was born and raised in Eagle Pass, Texas, rooted in family, community and faith.

Dance came first, at age four, and it never really left. Movement, discipline, and the patience to repeat something until it is right: she brings all three into treatment.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at The University of Texas at San Antonio, majoring in Athletic Medicine with a minor in Dance, graduating cum laude. She completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2024, with Dean's List recognition along the way.

Outside the clinic she is with family, hiking, traveling, trying new food, doing Pilates, or at a dog park with her Standard Poodle, Rum.
