Questions people ask before they book.

Cost, insurance, how long it takes, whether it will hurt. Straight answers, no sales pitch attached.

Before you pick up the phone

Most people sit on a pain problem for a while before they do anything about it. Not because they are lazy. Because there are unanswered questions in the way.

What will this cost. Will they just hand me a printout. How many visits. Is this going to hurt. Do I need a referral first.

Below are the answers, written the way we would say them to you in the room.

If your question is not here, ask it. Call (210) 750-9004 or send it over and a Doctor of Physical Therapy will answer you.

Questions, Answered

Everything you’re wondering before you book.

Straight answers: no medical jargon, no runaround.

No. Texas allows direct access to physical therapy, so you can book an evaluation without a doctor’s referral first. The one exception is Medicare, and we are not able to see Medicare patients at all. If your plan wants paperwork from a physician, we will chase it down so it does not hold up your care.

No, and that is deliberate. Revival is a preferred out-of-network provider for every plan except Blue Cross Blue Shield, and we do not accept Medicare. Staying out of network is what lets us give you a full hour, one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy, instead of running three people at once. Send us your details and we will check your out-of-network benefits and tell you the real number before you book.

You will know before your first visit, not after it. We verify your out-of-network benefits, work out what your plan actually reimburses, and tell you the number up front.

Your first visit, the evaluation, runs about an hour. You leave it knowing what is driving the problem, what the plan is, and roughly how long it takes. That is a plan with an endpoint and clear graduation criteria, not an open-ended string of appointments.

Something comfortable you can actually move in. Shorts are best if we are treating a knee or a hip, and a tank top or loose tee helps if we are working on a shoulder or a neck.

It is brief and localized. Most people feel a quick twitch, then the muscle lets go. It is always optional, and nobody will spring it on you without explaining it first.

No. Every visit is one-on-one, hands-on care with a Doctor of Physical Therapy, never a tech handing you a printout. Your exercises are dosed for you and progressed live as you improve.

Fair question, and it is usually the model, not you. A lot of clinics rotate you through techs and hand out generic sheets. Here you get one-on-one time with a Doctor of Physical Therapy every single visit, seven of them on staff and two fellowship-trained in manual therapy, a cause-first evaluation instead of a protocol, and a phase-based plan you can see the end of.

The Boring Stuff, Handled

Insurance and paperwork, without the headache.

How insurance works here

We are a preferred out-of-network provider. That is a deliberate choice: it is what lets us give you a full hour, one-on-one, instead of stacking three people on one therapist. We verify your exact benefits before your first visit, so you know the number up front.

  • Out-of-network with all plans
  • Benefits verified before visit one
  • Your cost, in writing, up front
  • Not contracted with BCBS
  • Medicare patients not accepted
