Physical Therapist
Dr. Lauren Schrank
PT, DPT, CFL1. An Olympic weightlifter and CrossFitter who has been the injured one, and knows exactly how that feels.
What it is like to be treated by Lauren
Lauren wants you to know why. Not just what to do, why it happened in the first place.
That is the part patients keep mentioning. She finds the cause, she names it, and then she hands you something you can do on your own between visits.
She has trained under a barbell for years, so she is comfortable with people who want their sport back, not just a quieter Tuesday. She is equally comfortable with the person who just wants to walk the dog without limping.
One patient who came in limping after a run wrote this:
“She is professional and extremely knowledgeable. We figured out exactly what was going on and WHY it happened, and she gave me exercises to do on my own. I'm now walking normally, jogging, and back to my strength training at 100%.”

How she got here
Lauren grew up in Marble Falls, Texas, playing basketball, volleyball and softball. Fitness stuck early.
In college she met her now husband, who introduced her to Olympic weightlifting. She competed for a few years, then joined a CrossFit club on campus.
Along the way she collected her own injuries. That is what pointed her at physical therapy. She wanted to be the person who explains the thing nobody had explained to her.
Outside the clinic she is with her family and two dogs, outdoors when she can be, and at Alamo Ranch Community Church.
