Blood flow restriction training in San Antonio.

Build strength with light weight, in the weeks when heavy is not an option yet.

Post-op friendly We teach the certification course Start My Comeback

What It Is

Light weight. Heavy adaptation.

Blood flow restriction training uses a calibrated cuff on an arm or a leg. The cuff limits blood flow out of the limb while you train with very light loads.

The muscle reaches a level of fatigue it would normally only see under heavy weight. That matters when heavy weight is off the table: after surgery, after a tear, or any time the joint cannot take load yet and the muscle is already disappearing. It is how Prime keeps moving while the joint is still off limits.

You are not lazy and you are not fragile. You are stuck between a joint that cannot load and a leg that is shrinking while you wait.

What It Helps

Where BFR changes the math.

Strength you lose while you wait does not come back on its own. It gets rebuilt, and the longer you leave it, the longer that takes.

What A Session Looks Like

How a session runs.

1

We measure your limb and set the cuff.

2

Light loads, high reps, real fatigue.

3

Cuff off, and we recheck.

Why It Works

Four reasons it earns its place.

Strength work when your joint says no.

Loads a healing joint can actually tolerate.

Less muscle lost during the slow weeks.

A way to keep progressing, not just waiting.

Questions, Answered

Blood flow restriction, no mystery.

Nothing gets cut off. The cuff is set to a pressure measured on your own limb, it stays on for a short bout, and a Doctor of Physical Therapy is standing there the entire time. This clinic teaches the personalized blood flow restriction certification course to other physical therapists and athletic trainers.

It burns. The limb feels heavy and full and the last reps are genuinely hard, which is the point, because that fatigue is doing the job heavy weight normally does. The cuff itself is firm pressure rather than pain, and everything stops the moment you say so.
