Denisse grew up in Eagle Pass, Texas, a border town with Mexico, in a bilingual household. She developed a passion for dance at the age of 4. Starting with ballet, and she later embraced jazz, flamenco, and hip-hop, and by age 15, she was teaching hip-hop to children.
Inspired by her oldest brother’s recovery from a severe car accident, Denisse decided to pursue a career in physical therapy. She admired the dedication of his physical therapist and realized she wanted to help others achieve their rehabilitation goals just like the PT did with her brother. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Athletic Medicine and a Minor in Dance from The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) in 2019.
During undergrad, she enjoyed playing Co-Ed Flag Football and traveling. She then worked as a Physical Therapy Technician for two years while applying to PT schools.
In 2021, Denisse was accepted into PT school and in 2024, she earned her
Doctorate at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio. She combines her love for movement with a passion for helping others recover and achieve their goals.
Outside of work, Denisse enjoys spending time with her family, especially her nieces & nephew, as well as her dog. She loves traveling, going out for walk, and taking dance classes in her free time.
